Mamas and Papas Prima Pappa Evo RSS
The latest version of the Prima Pappa is the "Evo". If you can accept that the Tripp Trapp is probably the best highchair (best in terms of how good it is for the baby and not for you!) on the market, then the Prima Pappa is probably next best.
Expert review
The Upside
It is packed with features and looks great. With its reclining seat unit a baby can use the highchair from 4 months old. The seat unit has been redesigned for improved back support and reclines to four different positions. The seat cushion itself is easily removed fro cleaning, whilst the seat itself can be raised and lowered to seven height positions. This will allow you to comfortably feed the baby either close to the table, or lower down from your chair or to lower the chair completely and let the baby entertain himself in front of the TV perhaps.
A full five point safety harness is included, this, along with the crotch post will keep the baby safe and secure. The Prima Pappa has four castors (two of which are lockable) to make it easier to move the highchair around the house. The design of these castors has now been improved so as not to scratch your floor.
The tray has two positions to enlarge the amount of room for the baby as it grows. You also have the ability to remove the tray completely which will allow you to move the highchair closer to the table. Big mess on the tray? Want to take it away but don't want to leave the baby without a tray? Don’t worry! The Prima Pappa has a double tray which means that you can take away the mess on the top tray and leave a clean one underneath.
The folding mechanism was never really a problem, and considering its size the Prima Pappa folds into a pretty compact size. However, the mechanism has been further improved and folding is now very easy.
The Downside
Well, £125 is a big price tag and part of the downside. The rest of the downside is, in essence, is anything other than a Tripp Trapp any good at all? Well you have to weigh it up and read the review of the Tripp Trapp. Overall, the thing to bear in mind is that unless you have the ability to adjust the seat and footrest independently for height and depth you cannot ensure that the baby is always in the optimum sitting position for future spinal development and posture.
The Prima Pappa is currently available in four colours.
THE LOWDOWN
How practical? Very practical if you accept it for what it is.
Defining Features? Multi height, adjustable seat and tray.
Other considerations – The second tray is a good idea.
Age? From about four months
Budget - £125
Accessories to consider – Floor Mat.

Great highchair. Well thought out, does exactly what it says it does but it is very heavy.
