Tandem Pushchair

A tandem pushchair has two seats - one in front of the other - and offers a practical solution to transporting two babies together. The thinner style (compared to the side-by-side option) means added control and easier access, but can sometimes lead to arguments between children, especially when one seat faces forward and one faces a parent. Some tandems are suitable for newborn twins; others offer one seat with a full lie-back and one that’s suitable from 6 months (baby and toddler). There are many tandem options including three-wheelers, lightweight or especially compact versions and those that add a toddler seat to a single pushchair. Some tandems can also take carrycots and car seats to form travel systems. Examples of the wide range of tandem models include the Jane Powertwin & X, Phil&Ted e3 sport, Marco Sky, and Graco X.
