Car seat

A child safety seat that is attached in your vehicle using rigid fitting points (ISOFIX) or the car's 3 point safety belt. There are specific legal requirements relating to the use of child safety seats which differ according to the weight (and age) of the child and specific vehicles, but, essentially, in the UK all children under 1.35m tall or under 12 years are required to use an appropriate child safety seat when in a private vehicle.
