Canopy

1. A fabric hood on a pushchair which keeps wind, rain or excessive sunshine off the baby. Some hoods include a vinyl window so that the baby can see and be seen; some have a mesh lining that can be opened up in hot weather to increase air flow.   

2. A decorative feature at the head end of some cribs and cots - generally lightweight/sheer material is suspended from a canopy frame to give a crib a more cocooned and traditional feel.
